i heard from a jefferson parish police officer that they are planning to blow the levees in jefferson parish in an attempt to save orleans parish

remember this is unofficial but they are currently evacuating hospitals of terminally ill and patients waiting on organ transplants.

Well that would explain why I heard a reporter on the news compare the levee damage to a wall blasted by dynamite. There's no way that they would actually do this. RIGHT?? I've heard this rumor more than once.

It's a rumor that was created by an idea that officials had that if they ever had to save New Orleans at any cost they would blow a levee and have it drain into another parish. It's all fucking speculation and I wish people would stop spreading it. Why in the fuck would they blow a levee NOW especially in St. Bernard parish when we're pretty much already at max capacity of water. If you don't believe me look at the live footage of the rescues going on with the Coast Guard. Most of those are from the St. Bernard/Orleans Parish line and one mile from my house. There is no place for the water to go and hell it's almost about to meet with the Industrial Canal.

well, i said it was unofficial.

one of my inlaws is a jefferson parish cop.

he told another family member that it was iminent.
she seemed to believe it... so it seems people are trying to spread what they know to people who listen.

i dont necessarily think it is true but i have heard speculation of its validity/usefullness before the storm.

this is not a rumor, it is a discussion of heresay, which most of this forum is.

Of they were to do that it would be a levey on the other side of the lake that would flow to like the marsh not into the city. They still have to fill the holes though

im not a conspiracy theorist but frankly i do believe that that did happen with betsy and the 9th.. there were multiple eyewitness accounts, and think about how ( at that time mostly and now to some degree) the city focuses on
upt and all that area and treats the 9th like shit... i don't think it has happened again though.
